The day began early with a hearty breakfast at my hotel in Hoi An, which was pretty good.
The hotel staff greeted us with warm smiles and served a buffet breakfast with a delicious spread of tropical fruits, Vietnamese pho, toast, and eggs. My mother and I enjoyed Vietnamese food, pho, and a strong cup of coffee. We stayed one night in Hoi An City – a town famous for its lantern-lit streets and riverside charm.
Most travelers don’t stay in Hoi An; they usually go down to Da Nang. I highly recommend spending at least one night there. It won’t disappoint you with its colorful lanterns, local cafes, chill vibes, and riverside atmosphere, which attracted me to stay for one night and enjoy a wonderful evening.
After that, I met my driver, who brought us to Ba Na Hill. The drive was smooth and comfortable, taking around 1.5 to 2 hours through stunning views, rural villages, and rice paddies. By the time we arrived at the base of Ba Na Hills, I felt both nervous and excited.
The weather gradually became cooler as we approached the mountains, making the journey even more enjoyable.

I would say no visit to Ba Na Hill is complete without riding the cable car. One of the most thrilling parts of the day was riding the cable car, which once held the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest non-stop single-track cable car.
The ride from the mountain base to the summit is not just transportation; it is an unforgettable experience in itself.
As soon as we reached the base of the hill, I boarded the cable car, taking about 20 minutes. We could see breathtaking views of green valleys, dense forests, thick clouds, and fresh mountain air. I felt like I was entering another world.
The higher we climbed, the more spectacular the scenery became. Looking down at the forest-covered mountains while floating above the clouds was truly one of the highlights of the trip.
At the top of the mountain, the temperature dropped noticeably. When I traveled there in November, it was extremely cold. I would suggest bringing a light jacket even in summer.

After the Golden Bridge, we walked through the French Village, where we could feel the European town vibes, Gothic-style churches, cobblestone streets, and lovely cafes.
The architectural design is really impressive and beautiful. As far as I know, those designs mimic 19th-century France. This area was buzzing with people capturing photos and walking around enjoying the scenery.
For a moment, my mother and I were snapping photos, sipping coffee, and exploring every corner of that place.
The French Village is one of the best places in Ba Na Hills for photography. Every street corner offers a postcard-worthy backdrop, making it a paradise for content creators and travelers alike.
Next up was a wander through Le Jardin d’Amour—a beautiful flower garden filled with huge sculptures and themed sections. I felt like stepping into Europe and enjoyed the cool air and vibrant rose gardens.
The colorful flowers, peaceful atmosphere, and mountain scenery made it the perfect place to pause and relax.
Buffet Lunch with a View
By noon, I had quite an appetite, and luckily, lunch was included in our tour.
Ba Na Hills didn’t disappoint me with the food. We dined at a buffet-style restaurant inside the building. The buffet was impressive, offering both Vietnamese dishes and international favorites.
I helped myself to grilled fish, spring rolls, noodles, fresh fruits, and a variety of desserts. The food was scrumptious, with a wide selection of dishes suitable for Muslim travelers. Speaking of my day at Bana Hill, it was the perfect fuel for the cool mountain.
Afternoon Fun at Fantasy Park
Post-lunch, I made my way to Fantasy Park, the amusement park located right within Ba Na Hills.
If you’re traveling with kids, don’t forget to try the thrilling rides and VR games. It was enjoyable for both adults and children and added more value to the entrance ticket.
Fantasy Park features indoor attractions inspired by Jules Verne novels and provides entertainment regardless of the weather outside. For families visiting Central Vietnam, this is one reason Ba Na Hills is considered one of the best family-friendly attractions in the country.

If you love visiting Buddhist temples, don’t miss taking a short walk to Linh Ung Pagoda.

Descending at Dusk: Back to Da Nang
At around 4:00 PM, we descended the mountain again via cable car. The view going down was even more stunning through the mist.
Watching the mountains disappear beneath the clouds created a magical ending to an incredible day.
Back at the summit, our driver was ready to take us to Da Nang. It was a smooth and scenic drive, and I arrived at my hotel—Cicilia Hotel, with a deluxe partial sea view—just in time for sunset.
